Our market share in Bulgaria is over 95% in sales and service of systems for inspection and detection for airports, customs, ports, governmental organizations, and other critical infrastructure locations.
Danlex is developing a disruptive Data Science-powered project to innovate the security system maintenance sector, in partnership with Sofia University and other institutions.
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team in Sofia to participate in modeling data for accurate, real-time predictions.
As a Junior Data Scientist, your work responsibilities will include:
• Research various state-of-the-art data science technologies
• Apply and improve existing forecasting, regression, and classification models
• Engineer and select input features from large amounts of structured and unstructured data
• Validate various models and assist in productionizing them
As competent Junior Data Scientist, you will:
• Be a strong problem solver that is eager to learn
• Be proficient in linear algebra and calculus, specifically optimization
• Have good knowledge of college-level numerical methods (linear regression, Newton-Raphson)
• Be no stranger to coding in Python, R, Fortran, or MATLAB
• Be passionate about solving industry problems using applied mathematics
Additionally, we would prefer a candidate with:
• Knowledge in traditional data science methods
• Enthusiasm for modern ML frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, NumPy/SciPy, LibSVM
• Confidence with databases and dataframes as sources of data
• Knowledge and aptitude for algorithms and data structures
The candidates for Junior Data Scientist position should be graduated students or students in their final year of BSc/MSc program in “Faculty of Physics” or “Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics”
